Fifty years. Same stages. Still Proud.
Faux Pas has been playing classic rock across the southeast without interruption since the early seventies. No reinventions, no hiatuses — just five decades of regional stages.

The Long Run Faux Pas @ Loyola Quad circa 1975
No tribute act earns fifty years
Faux Pas formed in the early seventies and has played the southeast without a significant break. Clubs, theaters, county fairs, festivals — the band has worked every room the region offers.
That kind of run is not built on gimmicks. It is built on showing up, knowing the catalog cold, and giving regional audiences exactly what they came for — every single time.
The people who know this catalog:

Jimmy Provensal
Since its beginning, Jimmy "JP" Provensal has led Faux Pas with a talented group of musicians who bring their love for great cover songs and lively crowds to every performance.
Holds the high end the way the original recordings did. Thirty years in the pocket, thrilling audiences from Nashville to New York. Lori was there at the very start.
Glen West rounds out the vocal harmony trifecta with a bass vocal and a rhythm guitar. His resume includes a broad knowledge of memorable classics and old time favorites.
Holds down the low end for everything from rockers to zydeco. Steve has a long history with New Orleans music and proudly represents his indigenous roots as well as a broad exposure to blues and jazz infused classics.
Carlos supplies the beat the room expects and has been faithfully delivering the groove for over five decades in and around the New Orleans. His experience with Faux Pas and several other regional acts equips Carlos with the ability to play music that truly belongs in front of real people and not a focus group.

While the reputation is current and historical...
..faux Pas is not a legacy act running on nostalgia. The band books new dates, plays new rooms, and earns its standing in the region every year — the same way it did in 1974. Performances include current hits as well as classic material that is updated on a regular basis.
Should you or your guests have their heart set on a tune that's not on the list, requests can be honored schedule and selection permitting.
